CONSIDERED MATERIALS
Our bags and accessories are made from natural straw
and raffia that has been harvested, stripped and dyed by hand.
We mainly work with raffia and straw a fast-growing grass.
They are natural fibers that, when manufactured for the circular economy and under the right conditions, can safely decompose into the natural environment (soil, water, etc.) without affecting it in a negative way.
CONSIDERED PEOPLE
All of our raffia products are crafted by hand using time-honored techniques within our rural basketry cooperative in Marrakech, DOUM FOR WOMEN.
Bringing together more than 200 women, DOUM FOR WOMEN is a women’s basketry cooperative whose mission is to integrate rural Moroccan women.
Our main goal is to help these women to be financially independent by providing them with a stable income within an ideal work environment.
Our basketry cooperative is the first one in Morocco recognized and certified SEDEX for its social compliance.
